Book Chest
An Original Design
Intended to bring you back to a time of the Dark Ages, when books were forbidden. With its front to the wall it appears to be a simple bench. Made from Gary Oak, cut from the streets of Victoria, it is a book chest which acts as a reminder of history. This piece adds a modern element in the form of SOSS hidden hinges on the doors.

Shaker Table
A Lesson in Hand Tools
Shaker furniture is know for its minimalist qualities, so legs are generally tapered, as they are here. The drawer is the focus, as the sides and front have been taken from rough cut lumber to a finished product without the use of electric tools. The sides and front have been fully hand cut. Built from Alder and African Mahogany. This table was a project laid out by my professors in college.

Art Stool
A Lesson in Joinery
Built from Ash this stool could withstand a lot of abuse. It is built for strength using through tenons and many other very strong joints, a lesson from my professors in college. We were given freedom to upholster the seat if we choose to. Adding a bit of leather work to the top adds a bit of soft comfort to the sitting experience for the artist that works for many hours.

Drafting Box
A Lesson in Joinery, Shaping and Veneer
This practical object created an opportunity to learn multiple joints, using Red Oak and Walnut. The handle is shaped of Walnut. The panels of the box are veneered dyed Bird's Eye Maple and Satin Walnut. Another lesson lead by my college professors.
